“I fight because I love to challenge myself. The rush of trying to impose your will on another fighter is like no other feeling. Plus maintaining the discipline of training on top of having a full time job constantly tests me mentally and physically but it also forces me to become a stronger person. “

5 THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT SHANNON SINN
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY OF TRAINING LIKE?
With working a full time job that gets me up at 4 am and I don’t get home until almost 6 pm I have to split things up. I wish I had the opportunity to train multiple times a day or even for a longer time period. Depending on the day I will be focused on either striking, Jiu Jitsu, or wrestling. Before I get into the training session I will squeeze in my conditioning/cardio whether that be circuit training, running, swimming. Next I will work a few rounds of mitts if time allows for it. Then it’s time to work on the whatever the specialty is for that day.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU AS A FIGHTER
As a fighter I am motivated by both the fear of regret and never being satisfied with my performance. I am always seeking out new ways to push myself and my conditioning more than the previous camp. I want there to be a noticeable improvement from the one fight to the next. I put a lot of pressure on myself and have always been my hardest critic.
