WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY OF TRAINING LIKE?
Busy! I train at 6am every day, again at lunch time or early afternoon and then finish off the day with 2-3hrs of BJJ. My day off is Sunday but if I am in fight camp, then a long run will always be on the cards.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU AS A FIGHTER?
Winning! I love to compete, and I love to win. It’s as simple as that. Every single day is about proving that I am the best. Proving to myself and proving to those around me who put their faith and belief into me. Every win is full of small losses in training, but each one of those small losses makes the win so much sweeter.
WHAT PROFESSION OTHER THAN YOUR OWN WOULD YOU LIKE TO ATTEMPT AND WHY?
Oh man, I always said I was going to be an Ice Cream Maker… So that I can taste all the flavors every day! And people love ice cream, there’s nothing better than being able to put a smile on someone’s face when they taste the delicious glory that is your ice cream!
IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I don’t know if hyper-intelligence is a super power but I definitely would like that, because what’s better than being so insanely smart that you can create machines and products that can give you whatever you want! Imagine being so intelligent that you could create super boots that could make you run as fast as Quicksilver. And being so smart that you figure out how to protect your internal organs etc whilst giving your body the capability to move that fast?! So I guess… I want to be Tony Stark!
IF YOU COULD MEET ANYONE, LIVING OR DEAD, WHO WOULD YOU MEET AND WHY?
Oh damn… what a question! I want to meet the person who came up with the very first idea for Iron Man. And I want to give that person a hug and thank him whilst holding back tears of joy.
